How do we overcome pride in our life?  Here is a suggestion:

As a Christian, I am a child of the King of kings and Lord of Lords.   Did I do anything to earn this wonderful position?  NO, I did not.  For by grace, you and I are saved, or made right in the eyes of God, it is nothing you or I do, no works on our part, nothing we can boast about.  Rather, it is a gift from God to us.  See Ephesians chapter 2, verses 8 and 9. 

When God reached down and brought me from death to life in Him, I was in the gutter, without life.  God adopted me into His family, His eternal family. 

So how do I overcome pride in my life? 

(1) recognize the fact that I am a child of the King, I am royalty. 

(2) recognize I am adopted, not born into royalty, and remember where I came from...the gutter. 

Humility can be our walk in life when we remember this truth.
